Due to its intricate coastline, rich ecosystem with hundreds of plant and animal species, geomorphology, and untouched beauty, it has been declared a national park.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are no permanent settlements on the archipelago. Small groups of occasionally inhabited houses can be found only in the bays of Vrulje, Lu\u010dice, and Kravljak on Kornat Island, as well as on the islands of Lavsa and Ravni \u017dakan. There are also no natural water sources on the islands, except for a few small springs in the Statival Bay on Kornat Island.
