During this year\u2019s sailing trip in the Adriatic, we also sailed along the western side of the island of Pa\u0161man. Among the many bays on the western side, we decided to spend one night in the bay of \u017din\u010dena.<\/p>\n
The bay of \u017din\u010dena is located on the southwestern side of Pa\u0161man Island. In close proximity, there are two anchorages with buoys that have been granted concessions (Lan\u0111in and Soline). We chose the bay of \u017din\u010dena because we prefer anchoring on our own anchor, close to the shore, ideally where the seabed is sandy. The bay is very well protected from all winds except southerly winds. In the northwestern and northern parts, depths range from 1 to 5 meters. The seabed is sandy, and the anchor holds well. In the western part of the bay, closer to the shore, the seabed is rocky. A bit further from the shore, rocks are covered with a thin layer of sand, so the anchor might slip on the rock. Therefore, anchoring at depths greater than 5 meters is necessary, where the sand layer is thick enough for the anchor to hold reliably. There are no amenities in the bay. A restaurant is located in the neighboring bay of Lan\u0111in. Using a tender, you can dock at one of the piers on the western side of the bay and walk along a path to the restaurant, which is only 500 meters away.<\/p>\n
The nearest gas station is in the town of Biograd, 8 nautical miles away. Since there is no concession granted for the bay, you can anchor on your own anchor, and no overnight fee is required.<\/p>\n
