The French shipyard Beneteau has introduced a new sailing yacht model, designated 37.1. It will be presented for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show.
The new 37.1 model incorporates numerous innovations from seven generations of Oceanis cruising yachts. It is the eighth model in this line, produced since 2017, offering sustainable, environmentally friendly sailing. The nautical design was created by Marc Lombard, while the interior was designed by Nauta Design studio.
The yacht’s exterior is very open. It is designed similarly to previous models Oceanis 30.1 and Oceanis 34.1. Two steering wheels are positioned on the side, allowing easy movement between the stern, bow, and below deck. For easy sailing with small crews, all sail control lines are routed to two winches at the stern, with only the halyards remaining at the front. Instruments, including a 7-inch display and engine controls, are located in front of the right steering wheel.
The wide hull, smooth lines above and below the water ensure higher cruising speeds and stability. The hull’s rigidity has been enhanced, weight reduced, and interior volume increased.
Oceanis 37.1 boasts an exceptionally spacious interior, comparable to yachts up to 1 meter longer. The salon is offset to the port side, with a longitudinal galley on the starboard side. There is enough room at the table to comfortably seat six or sleep two.
The forward cabin features two longitudinal windows integrated into the side, offering an excellent view of the horizon. In the version with two bathrooms, the bed is shifted to the starboard side, while in the one-bathroom version, it is centrally placed.
The 37.1 is available with a self-tacking jib or with a genoa and square-topped mainsail.
The yacht is available with a diesel engine up to 40 kW or an electric drive with 12 kW power and a 10 kWh battery.
