New Conditions for Returning from Croatia to Slovenia as of 15.7.2021

As of July 15, 2021, the use of color-coded lists of safe countries for crossing EU borders has been abolished. Although most European countries are now epidemiologically safe, the conditions have become stricter. Entry into Slovenia is permitted only with PCT conditions or a digital certificate (in digital or paper form). Exceptions apply only to children under 15 and owners of cross-border land.

Entry into the Republic of Slovenia without home quarantine is allowed for persons who provide:

  • A negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours;
  • A negative rapid antigen test (HAG) not older than 48 hours;
  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19, with a positive PCR test result at least 10 days old and not older than 6 months;
  • A vaccination certificate showing:
    • At least 7 days have passed since the second dose of Comirnaty (Pfizer);
    • At least 14 days since the second dose of Moderna or Janssen;
    • At least 21 days since the first dose of Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca).

Persons without proper documentation are subject to 10-day home quarantine.

  • Landowners in border areas returning within 10 hours.
