The prices of moorings in marinas on the eastern Adriatic coast are increasing every year. A drastic price increase occurred this year at the Rovinj marina, which underwent a complete renovation after two years.
To help you avoid disappointment, we have prepared a list of the most expensive marinas on the eastern Adriatic coast. In ranking the marinas by price, we considered the average prices of daily (transit) moorings for the most common boat lengths between 8 and 16 meters. In addition to the price for each specific length, we also calculated the average mooring price for these lengths based on data from 65 marinas on the eastern Adriatic coast.
The most expensive mooring this year will be at the Brijuni marina. However, this mooring will not be as expensive when considering that the daily mooring fee includes an entrance ticket to the Brijuni National Park, which otherwise costs 220 HRK per person (30 EUR). For boats up to 18 meters in length, the price already includes 5 tickets, while additional tickets for other passengers must be purchased separately.
Among marinas where the price only includes mooring with standard marina services (water, electricity, waste disposal, use of toilets), the most expensive by far is the newly renovated Rovinj marina. The mooring fee for all boats up to 12 meters is an astonishing 150.00 EUR, which is 2–3 times higher than the average price. Rovinj Marina is part of ACI – Adriatic Croatia International Club, which owns 22 marinas. Seven of them are ranked among the most expensive on the list.
Among Slovenian marinas, the most expensive is Marina Portorož. On the list of marinas on the eastern Adriatic coast, it ranks only 29th (out of 65 considered marinas). The daily mooring fee is approximately equal to the average mooring price of all marinas. Marina Izola is slightly cheaper and ranks 48th, while the marinas in Koper and Bernardin are at the bottom of the table, offering exceptionally affordable mooring fees.
Marinas Budva and Bar are at the very bottom of the ranking. Marina Budva ranks 44th, while Bar is in 54th place among all marinas. The daily mooring fee is significantly below the average for eastern Adriatic marinas.
