From the German shipyard Hanse comes a new beauty that sets new standards in shipbuilding and vessel design. It incorporates numerous innovations and advancements.
The new Hanse 588 is the sailboat of the future. It is an excellent combination of extraordinary sailing capabilities and comfort. It features exceptional sail rigging, a tall mast, and what they have called the Quiet Owner’s Cabin, where the owner can enjoy peace and relaxation.
The sailboat has elegant and recognizable lines. From the very first glance, it is clear that it is a Hanse yacht. The deck is low and sporty, yet elegant. The interior is exceptionally spacious and represents a new trend in boat design.
Quiet Owner’s Cabin
A new feature that will delight many yacht owners is the new method of constructing the boat’s hull and its insulation. Hanse has developed a special way of insulating the boat’s walls, ensuring exceptional soundproofing, which also provides good thermal insulation. The acoustic insulation protects the cabin from noise from the environment and sounds generated by the yacht itself. The owner’s cabin has thus been transformed into an exceptional space for resting and relaxation.
The boat’s salon is the central area where family and friends gather. To make socializing as comfortable as possible, they have designed a kitchen with an island. When the island is not needed for cooking, it can become a convenient cocktail bar. For those who prefer the classic L-shaped kitchen layout, the boat can also be ordered in this configuration. The seating arrangement is spacious. Two large U-shaped sofas are 2.15 m long and allow many guests to socialize. On the ceiling, there are six large windows, with a light surface area of almost 3 m², letting plenty of natural light into the salon. For a good view from the yacht, there are six windows on each side of the yacht. Two of them are in the salon.
Of course, the Hanse 588 is primarily a sailboat. During its design, they ensured that they used all of their knowledge and created a vessel with exceptional sailing properties. They also incorporated the latest technologies in boat construction and installed systems for easy boat handling. The yacht was designed by the Judel/Vrolijk&Co design studio. The lines are clean and elegant with a sporty touch. The yacht is equipped with double fittings, enabling the use of a movable jib for sailing into the wind or the use of a reacher for longer sailing. With the help of hydraulic and electric aids on the boat, it is possible for one person to handle the yacht with ease.
Optionally, a hard roof can be ordered for the stern of the yacht, which will protect the skipper and crew from the sun and rain. The roof is already equipped with lights and an audio system. To make sailing a gourmet experience, there is enough space at the stern for a grill, which requires an additional fee. At the stern, there is a spacious bathing platform, powered by hydraulics. When opened, it reveals a garage large enough to store a 3-meter dinghy and is already equipped with a system for lowering and raising the boat.
